Political Parties and the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Reject Buhari's Sacking of CJN, Onnoghen

The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, has rejected the decision of Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari, to sack the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mr. Justice Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen.  President Buhari earlier today purported to sack the Chief Justice and swear in an acting Chief Justice, Ibrahim Tanko.  If the president's decision is allowed to stand, it would amount to a coup d'etat against a co-equal branch of the Nigerian government.
